Koliba Goral has been open
since 25.12.2004. In the centre of Donovaly
right by the central car park it offers demanding clients and
those not so demanding its catering services.
We offer a wide selection of traditional and
non-traditional specialities not only from typical Slovak cuisine
the whole year round in our 90 seater restaurant
that is built in a pleasant rustic style. For private events
we can also offer our 30 seater Goral Room.
In the summer months we have an 80
seater terrace with a nearby pond beautifully decorated
with flowers. The kids can play in our playgound or you can
rent a small toy car for them to have lots of fun on while you
sit back and relax.
We have a rich summer program
for children and adults alike such as rustic entertainment and
other fun activities like demonstrations of country crafts,
i.e. wood carving, pottery on a potters wheel, all accompanied
with various types of live music. On Fridays we have live professional
folk music from various regions of Slovakia to make your stay
even more pleasant.
Our kitchen personnel can
be very proud with their second silver medal for preparing and
cooking Slovak dumpling twists (bryndzové halušky) at the international
championships in Turecká. If you want to get your teeth into
a good roast goose or duck with all the side dishes that go
with them, such as potato crepes, or try roast suckling pig,
you wont be disappointed in our koliba.
Our menu will also satisfy
vegetarians and children. We can make an excellent steak, and
our roast mutton and dumpling twists with sour cabbage, Slovak
dumpling twists (bryndzové halušky), tripe, or our fish or game
meals, cabbage soup or various kinds of salads, desserts and
drinks such as traditional blueberry spirit, or steaming goral
tea, all served in style definitely have no rivals.
If you are looking for a pleasant setting with
professional expert skills in food preparation and service and
fluency in foreign languages for your wedding reception, graduation
party, family celebration, romantic evening or company get together,
